This site is not affiliated with Hallo Properties.
But this site exists, in part, as a courtesy to that company and their prospective customers.
The duo behind the Hallo brand (Graham and Farhad) have a tenuous relationship with reality. Their yes-man (Ryan) is of no help to them in this regard whatsoever.
For example, in their promotional materials, these so-called "developers" say:
Hallō Properties is a developer of luxury boutique resorts and live-well communities, with current developments in Nelson, Revelstoke, and the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia. The company’s focus is conceiving, developing, and operating exceptional destinations that draw from the best of the best from across the globe, coupled with the best of the best in Super Natural British Columbia. Each property is distinguished by an irreplaceable location, with unrivaled attention to detail in programming, design, and curated experiences not previously available in Canada.
Their development plans in Nelson began with the acquisition of a multi-million dollar piece of land adjacent to Granite Pointe Golf Course, an unsustainable business that has been losing money continuously since the early 1990s.
They've certainly mastered the conception phase, investing heavily in architectural designs and a marketing campaign which is so terrible, it is really something to be seen!
And their pie-in-the-sky pitch list of fanciful amenities demonstrates boundless imagination.
But the line, "...with current developments in Nelson, Revelstoke and the Sunshine Coast," has been carefully constructed to obfuscate the fact that Hallo hasn't built anything—not even so much as a tool shed—at this point.
Meanwhile, their Revelstoke and Pender Island schemes are even less tangible than their Nelson fiasco is.
And so this website is also a place for Nelsonites to keep an eye on this unfolding shitshow.
As the old adage goes, "If you put lipstick on a pig, you still have a pig."
This pair continually demonstrates they have more money than sense, yet it's their plentiful bad ideas and appalling marketing strategies that stand out the most.
So let's share a chuckle or two while we (hopefully) help them see the error of their ways.
